Noctuary Tarot is a simple card-of-the-day site that runs entirely in your browser. This page explains what data the site works with — in short: almost none.

What the site does not do

• No registration or sign-in required
• No advertising or ad trackers
• Your data is never sold or shared with advertisers

Local storage

To remember your drawn-card history (for 60 minutes), language, display preferences (such as fullscreen mode), whether you have unlocked the support reminder, and your Night Rain game score, the site stores this information using localStorage directly in your browser. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server. You can clear it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Analytics (GoatCounter)

To get a general idea of how many people visit the site, we use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. GoatCounter does not use cookies and does not store your IP address, full browser fingerprint, or any tracking identifier — it only counts aggregate, anonymous statistics such as page views, approximate country, and referrer. Visit counter (Firebase)

The small numbers shown on the homepage (total visits, today's visits, and people online right now) are stored in a Firebase Realtime Database operated by Google. Each visit increases an anonymous counter by one — no name, personal data, or IP address is attached to it. The site also briefly registers your presence (just a timestamp, no identifying data) while your tab is open, so it can show how many people are online right now; this entry is automatically removed once you close or leave the page.

Contact form (Web3Forms)

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent to Web3Forms, a third-party form-processing service, which forwards them to us by email so we can reply to you. We only use this information to respond to your message. Web3Forms may use your IP address and email address for spam prevention. You can read more in Web3Forms' own privacy policy.

Google Fonts

The site loads fonts (Orbitron, Cormorant Garamond) from Google Fonts. When the page loads, your browser connects to Google's servers, which may involve sending your IP address. This is not cross-site tracking or used for marketing — it is purely the technical delivery of fonts. You can find more about how Google handles this data in Google's own privacy policy.

External libraries

To export your card history to PDF, the site loads the open-source libraries html2canvas and jsPDF from cdnjs (Cloudflare). The visit counter uses the Firebase library loaded from Google (gstatic.com). When these load, your browser connects to those servers, which involves your IP address — only library code is downloaded, nothing about you or your cards is sent.

Cookies

The site itself does not set any cookies of its own. Submitting the contact form connects to Web3Forms, whose infrastructure (Cloudflare) may set essential security cookies as part of that request. GoatCounter, used for analytics, does not use cookies at all.

Links to other sites

The site includes links to other free apps by the same maker (SYNTHLUCIDA) and to Gumroad, where you can optionally buy an unlock code for the support reminder. This policy covers Noctuary Tarot only — external sites have their own privacy policies.

A note on the readings

Noctuary Tarot is offered as a daily space for pause, reflection, and atmosphere — it is not fortune-telling, a prediction of the future, or a substitute for professional guidance on important life decisions.
