THE DECK
The Major Arcana (The Fool through The World) speak to big life themes and turning points. The Minor Arcana are grouped into four suits — Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles — each with its own flavor: passion and action, emotion and intuition, thought and conflict, or the material world and the body. The Oracle deck carries its own single, simpler message per card, with no reversed meanings. The Night Tarot is a 22-card original arcana with a cosmic, signal-and-static theme, and it does use reversed meanings.

An upright card points to its meaning flowing freely. A reversed card (marked REVERSED) suggests that same energy turned inward, blocked, or asking for patience.

READING MULTIPLE CARDS
A single card gives one thought for the day. A spread — several cards laid out in chosen positions — lets you ask a real question and see how its parts relate: where you've come from, what's happening now, what's asking to be noticed.
START WITH ORDER
Before reading any single card, notice the shape of the whole layout. Each position in a spread carries its own question — the same card means something different in "what you're leaving behind" than it does in "what's coming." Read the position first, then the card.
THE 3-CARD SPREAD
The simplest real spread. Draw three cards in a row and read them as a small story with a beginning, middle and end.
1 — Past or situation: what has led you here, or the ground you're standing on.
2 — Present or action: what's alive right now, or what you can actually do.
3 — Future or outcome: where this is heading if nothing changes.
THE CELTIC CROSS (10 CARDS)
The classic full spread for a deeper question. It takes more room on the table and more time to read, but it covers a situation from nearly every angle.
1 — Heart of the matter: the core of the question as it stands right now.
2 — What crosses it: a challenge, or a second force at play.
3 — Foundation: what this situation is built on, often from the past.
4 — Recent past: what's just now fading out of the picture.
5 — Above: the best you can hope for, or the conscious goal.
6 — Near future: what's approaching next.
7 — You: how you see yourself in this, or your role.
8 — Environment: other people, or outside forces around you.
9 — Hopes and fears: what you're carrying inside about it.
10 — Outcome: where it's heading if this path continues.
REVERSED CARDS IN A SPREAD
A reversed card in a spread doesn't flip its meaning into an opposite — it turns the same energy inward. In a spread, that often points to something not yet ready, something blocked by circumstance, or something you already half-know but haven't said out loud. Read it as a note on how that position's energy is currently moving, not as a warning sign.
READING THE WHOLE LAYOUT
Once every card is placed, step back before diving into details. Look for what repeats: several cards from the same suit point to one area of life dominating the picture (Wands = action, Cups = feeling, Swords = thought, Pentacles = the material). Several Major Arcana in one spread signal that bigger, less controllable forces are at play; mostly Minor Arcana suggests it's more about everyday choices. Repeated numbers across cards are worth noticing too.
WEAVING THE STORY
Read each position on its own first, in plain language, out loud if that helps. Then read the layout left to right, or center outward, as one continuous sentence connecting each card to the next — "this leads to this, which is challenged by this." The final read is always a story, not a checklist. Trust the connections that feel obvious before reaching for a stricter textbook meaning.
